Common questions

An account says “No usage yet”

Claude Code only sends limit information to its status line during interactive sessions. Open Manage Accounts, install the status line for that account, then run claude with that account once. If the account is only used by background agents (Agent SDK, claude -p), use the background sync instead: run sh scripts/claude-usage-sync.sh install from the project's source.

An account I use isn't listed

Choose Manage Accounts → Add Account and select the account's folder, for example ~/.claude, ~/.claude-work or ~/.codex. You can also drag the folder onto the app.

My other Mac doesn't appear

Turn on sharing on the other Mac and allow local network access when macOS asks. Both Macs need to be on the same network. If they aren't, copy the pairing code from the other Mac's Sharing tab and paste it in. Pairing codes include Tailscale addresses, so they work from anywhere on your tailnet.

Is the API cost a real bill?

No. It estimates what the same tokens would cost at public API list prices. Your subscription doesn't charge this.
