Agent Limits

Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Agent Limits collects no data. The app has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer can't see anything you do in the app.

What the app reads

To show your limits and token usage, Agent Limits reads files that Claude Code and Codex already keep on your Mac, but only in folders you've given it access to:

The app doesn't read or store your Claude or OpenAI passwords or sign-in tokens, and it doesn't contact Anthropic, OpenAI or anyone else over the internet.

What the app stores

Your list of account folders, your settings and a cache of daily token totals are kept in the app's own sandboxed storage on your Mac. Deleting the app deletes them.

Sharing between your Macs (optional)

If you turn on sharing, your Mac makes a short summary available to other Macs you pair with it, over your local network or your own Tailscale network. The summary contains only account names and usage numbers. Other Macs need the pairing key shown in the app to read it. This data goes straight from one of your Macs to another and never passes through any server run by the developer. You can turn sharing off, or generate a new key, at any time.

When sharing is on, the app announces itself on your local network using Bonjour so your other Macs can find it. macOS asks your permission before the app can use the local network.

Children

Agent Limits is a developer tool. It isn't directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
